ANTHROPOLOGY

Anthropology is the study of humankind in all places and all times. It is a holistic discipline meaning it looks at all aspects of humankind. There are four major subfields:

  1. Cultural, which views contemporary culture
  2. Biological, humans as biological organisms 
  3. Linguistic
  4. Archaeology, examining past human material remains

There is also an additional category that is called applied anthropology which uses anthropological knowledge, expertise, and skill to help solve contemporary problems.
